I had a dream I went into a Holden dealership and asked for a test drive, hoping to drive the Monaro (Pontiac GTO). Instead they put me in a 1st-gen RX-7. Every rev yielded a loud whoosh of the blowoff valve and some brisk high-pitched rotary noises. I remember it being quite a fast car, as you’d expect being so light.

That was the whole dream. Very unusual. None of it makes any sense, but it was awesome.

I had a weird but oddly helpful dream. I was tunnel blasting a straight piped E46 325i M Sport (I have no idea why my subconscious mind was so specific).

The reason why it is helpful is I’ve been having trouble finding a car due to riduclous insurance prices and decided to look up the car prices for the BMW because damn it a boy can dream.

Ł1600. Ł1600. Ł1600!

Ł1600 for a RWD 7 Second Sports Saloon. Considering I can’t get a 1.6 hatchback for under Ł3000 needless to say I’m over the moon. Problem is I’m broke as heck due to home repairs and lending money to the wrong people.

Either way I’m working hard to get as much money together in time for Jan 4 which will be another year on my licence. Lately I’ve had some bad financial luck but surely nothing else can go wrong because damn it I want a car!

I’ve been having this recurring dream that I am at a party in a loft. I get drunk and stay over the person’s house and when I wake up I can’t remember where I parked my car. I go block to to block pressing my keyfob hoping to hear the car beep and I never found it.

Twice it’s been my car I can’t find and in one dream it was, randomly, a BMW motorcycle that I can’t remember where I parked.

I had a really weird dream where I lived in a really shitty dilapidated houseboat but had a C7 Z06 and a purple Exige in an on-shore garage next to the dock. I don’t really know what to make of it other than I make terrible financial decisions even in my sleep.

Looking on Wiki, it was a Japan-only offering, whereas the US got the 13B. I wonder if it was a blow-through turbo or they put FI on the 12A engine for it.

I had a dream Saturday night where I banged up the front of the Challenger. Since my grandma almost backed into it during the day.

I had a dream in early 8th grade where I was driving a Merc SLR at 5 mph through the middle school parking lot.

Every now and then I have a recurring dream that I am buying a car. It’s usually used and something from the ‘70s. Once it was a SIMCA 1000. Or a 4-door Fiat 128. Another time, a ‘71 Lincoln Mark III. And once, a 1980 AMC Concord. And a ‘73 Riviera.

I had a really weird dream once where I owned a boxer GTS, and I somehow drove it from a cafe in Belgrade, Serbia Europe home, to Redmond WA. what’s weird it that after I leave the part of town where the café was in Belgrade, I found myself hauling ass through downtown Redmond at like 1:30 AM, and I distinctly remember there being some form of red hue to the sky. after that, I somehow got lost in a neighbourhood that seemed like a sketchy part of Seattle, and had to steal 4 wheels (off of a convenient other boxter) after the ones on mine disappeared when I got out of the car.

the whole time I felt like I was awake though, which was weird, and I remember mumbling to myself that I'll only get like 3 hours of sleep before school.

It’s fuckin weird man. As I continue to search in the dream I get a sense of anxiety when I can’t find it. It’s almost lucid because I definitely recall thinking what I should do even asking myself did someone steal it? Should I call the police, would they help? Then waking up.

Here’s ones I can remember:

Building a mahogany swim deck on the back of my ‘76 Delta 88, which made the car a total of 22 feet long.

El Camino-izing my Tracer wagon.

Buying a Lumina APV, making it midengined with a Buick Park Avenue Ultra drivetrain (3800 Series II supercharged) bolted in place of the rear axle, and LeMons’ing it.

Building a “Baby National” by turbocharging the 2.2L in my Buick Century and plastidipping it black.

Shipping my Caprice sedan to Japan and chasing a Toyota hatchback down Mount Haruna at 4am.

Delta 88 drift car.

Buying a fullsize Bronco with the 351W, and boring/stroking it out to 560ci.

Getting invited to Top Gear to be the “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car”, end up being the top time on the leaderboard. Found out The Stig was Dale Earnhart Sr. and he’d faked his death.
